Oscar L. Shoenfelt, III, has devoted his legal practice for the past 28 years to legal cases involving medical malpractice and personal injury.  He is a current member of The Baton Rouge Bar Association, The Louisiana State Bar Association and Louisiana Association for Justice.

Mr. Shoenfelt was born in Mount Vernon, New York on April 6, 1954. He received a B.A. from Abiline Christian University, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.92 average (out of 4.0). He graduated from LSU Law Center in 1979 and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. He was a certified player's agent by the NBA Player's Association (1990-2006) and the NFL Player's Association (1989-2003).

Mr. Shoenfelt has given lectures and presentations in the field of medical malpractice to both medical and legal organizations.  He has lectured in the field of sports law at LSU, LSU Law School, and Southern University Law School.  He is currently an adjunct professor at the LSU Law Center, where he teaches a class on Sports Law.  He is currently serving as a member of the Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling Commission.
